100 Families Serviced
Join Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity as they celebrate serving 100 families in the affiliate service area of Black Hawk, Bremer and Butler Counties. On Friday, April 29 at 4:00pm, a home dedication for 1681 Woodmayr Drive in Waterloo will mark this special milestone. Support Habitat’s mission of eliminating poverty housing by attending this event.
Habitat for Humanity has partnered with Waterloo’s Community Development Office to secure funding from the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) which allows community partners to purchase foreclosed properties and revitalize neighborhoods. The home at 1681 Woodmayr Drive is the fifth rehabbed home in Waterloo funded by NSP. This improved property will be a simple, decent and affordable home for Laneiya Galloway and her children.
Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity will celebrate the completion of its 100th home build later in 2011; while Habitat of Iowa will celebrate the completion of 1000 homes state wide. For more information about Habitat for Humanity visit www.heartlandhfh.org.
